Fishing Prices

Environment Agency rod licenses are required for adults and 12-16 year olds (see Environment Agency website)

Reward Coupon

Fish 4 times within 3 months at Gweryd Lakes and get the 5th session at half price. Make sure to pick up a Day or 24hr reward coupon when booking on.

Rules

RULES AND BAIT BANS - we do try to keep these to the minimum necessary to support our three policies of: TOTAL FISH CARE • SAFETY • ENJOYMENT

1. DUE TO A REQUEST FROM A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF ANGLERS NO REMOTE CONTROLLED BAIT BOATS OR DINGHIES MAY BE USED ON THE LAKES DURING 2008. All nets and carp sacks must be dipped thoroughly in the net dips provided.
2. All anglers fishing for carp must have a proper unhooking mat and a minimum 36 inch diameter landing net.
3. Barbless hooks only-crushed barbs and whisker barbs are not permitted.
4. Safe rigs must be used (no fixed leads or feeders).
5. Micromesh, minimum 10 foot keep nets are permitted at an extra charge for small fish retention at the proprietors' discretion. No carp or any fish over 2lbs is to be placed in a keep net.
6. An angler may pay to fish up to a maximum of 3 rods. A current Environment Agency rod licence is required. NB Two licences are required when fishing 3 rods.
7. No rods are to be left unattended in the water.
8. All nuts and seeds are to be properly cooked.
9. No high oil or sinking trout pellets to be used for ground baiting.
10. Anglers are responsible for leaving their peg clean - NO LITTER is to be left. Litter should either be taken away or disposed of in the burning cage by Car Park 1 or in the bins in Car Parks 2 and 3 (Llyn Gweryd) or in the bins by the Car Park on Llyn Ewan.
11. Cars must be parked in the car parks except for disabled badge holders. A tow out charge of £20 is made for recovering vehicles, which are not parked in a car park and become stuck.
12. Please keep to paths and do not interfere with wildlife and their habitat.
13. NO RADIOS except with an earpiece.
14. NO LOOSE DOGS
15. NO FIRES (Barbeques and camping stoves are allowed. Please avoid scorching the grass)
16. No fish are to be removed or introduced with out the proprietors' consent.
17. No children under 13 to fish without an adult.
18. No children under 16 are allowed on the south bank of Llyn Gweryd.
19. All those fishing 24 hours must have at least one adult (18 year old +) in the party

Trout Fishing Rules

1. All fishing barbless hooks.
2. All anglers must book in prior to starting to fish and must return to shop or house with catch return before leaving. Open 8.00am -6pm (evenings by prior agreement only).
3. Fishing on Annie’s pool is FLY ONLY with single point hook no sport fishing.
4. If trout are to be returned on Llyn Louis they must be unhooked in the water or using an unhooking mat. Anyone returning stressed fish to the water will be asked to leave.
5. Landing nets must be knotless and fish friendly.
6. Fishermen who have caught their limit may not catch for other people. Any stressed or deep hooked additional fish caught must be killed and paid for.
7. No spectators on the fly lake.
8. Minimum 5lb line to be used on the bait pool and max size 8 hook.
9. Only worm to be used on the bait pool.
10. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave and to modify the rules in the interests of safety, fish health or social behaviour.
11. All fishing is at persons own risk and all persons must be aware of back casts at all times. All children on Llyn Louis must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. No children under 7yrs.
12. ALL NETS MUST BE DIPPED & RINSED
